These are considered as special types of fittings and provide a leak-proof pathway for gas or liquid to pass between the wall, tank and barrier. These fittings are used in many sectors, some being plumbing sector or involves marine application and industrial industry etc. to join the pipes, hoses or other conduit at bulkheads tanks or any containers.

Where Bulkhead Fittings Are Used

  • Aquariums and Fish Tanks - In aquariums, these are commonly employed to develop hermetic connections so that with one-way valves there does not drip water between the tanks and filters.
  • Well Water Storage & Treatment Tanks - More use in large-scale water storage tanks or treatment systems, enabling movement of water/chemicals from one compartment/system to another.
  • Irrigation Systems - Used to provide a safe passage for waterlines through the pristine joint of wall or other barriers that are against agricultural irrigation systems.
  • Marine Applications - Bulkhead fittings can be found in boats and ships, where they are used to make a watertight passage through the hull or other bulkheads for fuel/water lines, etc.
