Jacketed Hoses

Jacketed Hoses

Jacketed hoses are usually designed to improve temperature control, where the heating or cooling medium circulates around a core. The product area of the Liquidyne hose is lined with a PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) tube, while its jacket around this inner hose lets through media like steam, hot oil or refrigerant. Jacketed hoses are typically deployed in applications where a product needs regulation to keep its temperature constant,

which is common for the chemical, pharmaceutical, food processing
and petrochemical sectors.

Jacketed Hoses for Applications

  • End Users of Chemical and Petrochemical Industry - These industries may have specific chemicals that they need to keep at a set temperature because it has the potential for crystallizing, solidifying or even breaking down. Jacketed hoses are used to maintain materials, such as sulfur, asphalt or other highly viscous chemicals in a liquid temperature by heating the hose.
  • Food and Beverage Processing - Jacketed hoses are used in the food processing industry to transfer substances such as chocolate, syrups or oils at a consistent temperature. The heat-medium circulation in the outer jacket prevents these materials from solidifying during manufacturing.
  • Pharmaceutical Industry - Jacket hoses are used to keep temperatures in pharmaceutical production according — keeping temperature stable and prevention of contamination for heated or cooled substances.
